Starkville, Miss. (WCBI) – 29 people from across the state have applied to be the new principal at Starkville High School.An 11 person search committee made up of parents, staff, students, and the community will review the applicant pool and could hold interviews as early as next week.

A survey has been conducted to determine what the stakeholders want in a principal, and the search committee has begun discussing a rating system. Former principal Keith Fennell left the school to take a job at Jackson State University.
