Video: Sense of Calm Returns to Mississippi State Campus

MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY, Miss. (WCBI) – Students went back to class Friday after Thursday’s frightening alert. Normal campus operations resumed after the lockdown but some students opted to stay in.

A calm still remains on campus and at least one student tells us she was not shaken from the incident.

“As I told my mom there are crazy people everywhere. So I just stay prayed up and I just pray as much as possible. So, that’s all we can do is cover ourselves.”

The university says Fhu’qui Kong “Bill” Nguyen has withdrawn from the university and checked himself into a mental health facility after Thursday’s alert.
