Video: Second Splash Pad Opens in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – The City of Tupelo has another place for the children cool off and play.
The parks and recreation department officially opened a second splash pad at Rob Leake City Park in the Joyner community. It joins the first splash pad which operates at Veterans Park. The total cost of the project was around 615-thousand dollars which also went to renovated the pavilion of what used to be the location of the city pool which was filled in when the new Aquatic Center opened. The splash pad will be open from 10AM to 7PM everyday through Labor Day when it will be open only on weekends until Sunday September 27th when it will close until next summer.
