TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Two butterfly sculptures were unveiled Thursday at Ballard Park in Tupelo to mark the two year anniversary of the tornado.
The sculptures are part of an initiative called “Arts to Heal” which seeks to show how the community came together in the aftermath of the tornado.
“The NEA and the Mississippi Arts Commission came together and funded part of this beautiful piece of art that it’s going to be , again a place for the community to come and share their experiences and their resilient stories. ”
Tupelo native Tanner Coleman created the sculptures that will help change the landscape of the park.
