Video: Restoration Companies Really Cleaning Up After the Freeze

Tupelo, MS (WCBI) — As pipes thaw out, business is booming for restoration companies across our region. Tupelo’s ServPro franchise has seen a dramatic increase in calls during the past two days as many homeowners, businesses and even churches are dealing with broken water pipes after everything thawed out. The ServPro Tupelo office has fielded more than 150 calls since Tuesday from people who have water damage from burst pipes. It all means that the Tupelo office has had to recruit help from other ServPro franchises outside of Mississippi.

“We have reached out to our neighboring ServPro franchises which have all been experiencing, same call volume we have, had to go as far as Houston , Texas, had some franchises , from Houston area, helping and aiding to get to our customers in a timely manner I know other parts of Mississippi and Alabama have franchises from Texas, and Florida as well.”

Nationally, ServPro says the Polar Vortex has broken all records for weather related service calls.
