ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – Local residents had the opportunity to tour historic homes, while also getting in the holiday spirit.
As the second annual Holiday Home Tour was held, participants enjoyed the displays of various elaborate holiday decorations.
Hosted by the Elkin Theatre and the South Monroe County Community Fund, three houses were featured in this year’s tour.
Each home has different themes and a variety of unique Christmas trees.
Participants say the event is another way to put them in the holiday spirit.
“I love to see all the pretty things that they’ve done and this house in particular, I’m so appreciative of the restoration that they’ve done. It’s just gorgeous, even if it didn’t have any Christmas in it,” said Bradley Lipsey, who toured the homes.
“How could you not get in the Christmas spirit seeing all of this? It’s just so gorgeous,” said Patsy Stevens, who toured the homes.
Profits from the tours will go toward paying off a new projector at the Elkin Theatre and will also provide future grants throughout the community.
