VIDEO: Prairie Opportunity Holds Annual Awards Of Recognition Banquet

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Helping people change lives one day at a time is Prairie Opportunity’s motto.

The organization has been around for 50 years.

Over the weekend, the organization held its annual awards of recognition banquet to celebrate the good works being done in the communities it serves.

Vice president Laura Marshall said the organization prides itself on helping low income people become better and productive citizens in their communities.

“This is a ministry. We are about helping people change their lives so that they too can give back to the community in which they live,” said Marshall, executive director of Prairie Opportunity.

The organization serves eight counties in the state.
