LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — The tornado that carved a path across Winston County separated 40 dogs from their owners. Since then, staff and volunteers at the Louisville animal shelter have successfully reunited all but one of the pets with their families. But many can’t return home yet so the shelter is keeping them until the owners get a more permanent place to live. Donations of food and other supplies are helping keep the shelter going and volunteers have been stepping up to care for the extra animals. Terri Tucker, one of 10 people killed in the tornado, was a frequent volunteer at the center.
