Video: Oxford High School Newspaper in the Running for National Award

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Oxford High School’s student newspaper is a national finalist for a big award. “The Charger” is a 2014 National Scholastic Press Association Newspaper Pacemaker Finalist.

Judges use coverage and content, quality of writing and reporting, and leadership among other categories to select Pacemaker Finalists.The contest has recognized scholastic newspapers for 87 years.

Winners will be announced November eighth at the Fall National High School Journalism Convention in Washington D.C.
