Video: One Arrested – One on the Run After Home Invasion Shooting

CALHOUN CITY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Calhoun City woman is shot multiple times during a home invasion in the middle of the night.

Now one man is charged with attempted murder. Another is still at large. And the victim is in the hospital. Investigators have arrested 21 year old Quentin Conner. They continue to look for a second suspect, whom they say will face similar charges.

Assistant Police Chief Tito Lopez says the two suspects broke into the house at 307 North Main through a back door about one Monday morning. This is where 21 year old Miriam Williams was staying.

“It’s terrible. It’s scary and people are worried and they are going to be worried whenever you have a crime like this. Now the details are not clear as far as why this happened but it’s going to be specific to a certain group of people.”
Lopez says one weapon has been recovered. Williams remains hospitalized. Her condition is unknown.
