OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI/Ole Miss Athletics) – After being selected as a regional host Sunday night, the Ole Miss baseball team officially earned its 21st postseason appearance Monday, May 30 as the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament draw was announced on ESPNU. The Rebels will host Tulane University, Boston College and the University of Utah.
Ole Miss is the No. 1 seed in the regional and will kick off its Road to Omaha against the Utah (25-27), the No. 4 seed and Pac-12 Tournament champions, on Friday, June 3 from Swayze Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on the WatchESPN app and WatchESPN.com as well as the Ole Miss IMG Sports Network. The Rebels also collected eight victories over top-10 teams throughout the season and finished 18-12 in SEC play.
