Video: Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department Get State Accreditation
[bitsontherun tHw6kklm]OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-Only three other counties in the entire state can say they have achieved the Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission and now Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department can be added to that list too. On Thursday the department successfully completed a list of 123 objectives needed to earn the commission. The accreditation is for three years. The evaluation covered the department, vehicles, storage, written policies, and other procedures handled daily. This also means in March when the department goes before the board they will likely receive recognition on a national level and earn the Commission Accreditation for Law Enforcement. Oktibbeha County is the only one in the state to have its county, city, and campus law enforcement agencies state accredited.
