OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – Ole Miss scored 28 first-quarter points Saturday in its 73-21 rout of Fresno State in Oxford, surpassing the opening-quarter record it had set just one week earlier.
The Rebels’ offense totaled 608 yards on the afternoon. Junior Chad Kelly threw for 346 yards on 20-25 passing with five total touchdowns after starting at quarterback for the second-straight game.
17th-ranked Ole Miss scored 149 points in its first two games of the season. The Rebels play at No. 2 Alabama next week.
