Video: Newly Appointed Air Force Academy Cadets Tour CAFB

COLUMBUS AFB, Miss. (WCBI) – Some future U.S. Air Force Academy cadets are recognized tonight at Columbus Air Force Base.

Eight students from Mississippi received appointments. The students and their families were honored at a dinner, hosted by the United States Air Force Academy’s Parents Club.

While at the Academy, the students will study Math, English, Science and Military History. The students looking forward to the opportunity.

“I just found out this last March, and ever since I have been prepping myself. And I’m pretty excited for this opportunity.”

After graduation, students will receive a Bachelor of Science degree and  commissions as Second Lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force.
