Video: New Hope’s Forrester Signs With Mississippi Delta

NEW HOPE, Miss. (WCBI) – New Hope Trojan Carson Forrester signs the dotted line to join the Mississippi Delta Community College baseball team.

The first baseman and pitcher for New Hope is off to a red hot start in 2017. The senior Forrester is batting .500 with three hits two runs batted in and has a win on the mound while striking out four in 3 2/3 innings pitched.

“The coaches, they really played a big role in it and they always text me and call me. They really made me feel at home there and it really was an easy decision”, Forrester said about his decision to join the Trojans in the Delta.

“[Carson] always has a good time, always has a smile on his face, keeps the dug out loose and the kids love him”, New Hope head baseball coach Lee Boyd said of the senior.

“…they’re going to get a kid that’s going to work hard, but he’s always going to have fun as well.”

New Hope takes on the Gordo Green Wave Saturday, March 4th.
