HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) — The city of Houston has a new home for its fire equipment. Work has been completed on a new fire station on Harrington Street in downtown Houston.
The new building is large enough to house three trucks, and had become necessary to keep vehicles out of the elements. The city of Houston financed the construction of the fire station. Chickasaw County did the site work. The new facility may help to improve the city’s fire rating from a Class 7 to a Class 6 which could help to lower home insurance rates.
