Video: Nearly a Month Before Opening, and Already There are Long Lines at Cracker Barrel

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -Cracker Barrel is already serving up a lot of excitement and interest before the doors open this month. Wednesday, there was a line of people applying for the nearly two hundred positions the restaurant plans to fill.

Interviews will take place from 9 to 5 during the week and from 10 to 2 on Saturdays. Managers are expecting nearly two thousand applicants to walk through the door.

“I want this to be a family environment. I want it to be a family oriented restaurant for the town. So, I’m looking for those qualities that play into that. So, we’re looking for people that smile. We’re looking for people that have a genuine attitude. You know, skills are great, but attitude makes a big difference in what we do here.”

Cracker Barrel expects to open for business July 27th.
