TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Artists from around the country are in Tupelo for a hands on workshop. Wednesday morning, easels were set up around the Lee County Courthouse, as artists took part in a workshop led by Colorado based painter, Kim English. The five day program will allow artists to learn from the internationally recognized painter.
“I paint mostly people, and I do a lot of plein air work, which is painting outside, on location, we’re kind of getting the flavor of Tupelo, painting around and maybe throwing some people in the paintings as they interact with the scenes that we’re painting.”
The workshop is organized by Pontotoc artist, Dot Courson.
