VIDEO: MUW Hosts Academy Days

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- America’s future military leaders got the chance to find out how they can become the next generation to wear the oak clusters or the five stars on their uniforms.

The path almost always runs through one of the military academies. Whether its Annapolis or West Point, the journey starts with an appointment to one of the academies.

Congress members are the ones who nominate students for those appointments. Representative Trent Kelly says Academy Days like this one at MUW gives him the chance to recruit and get to know students he thinks will help make the military better.
