STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -When we think “cyberterrorism” we usually think about government agencies. But more and more, businesses are finding themselves the victims of attacks that put not only their company data but also their customers’ personal information at risk.

On Thursday Cadence Bank teamed up with the Distributed Analytics and Security Institute at Mississippi State to host a cybersecurity forum at The Mill Conference Center in Starkville.

Business leaders and IT professionals were briefed on some of the latest strategies being used to protect companies from cyberattacks, and to minimize threats.

The DASI hosts a number of cybersecurity forums and seminars throughout the year.
