STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI/MSU Athletics) – Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen and select players addressed the media on Monday to preview the 21st-ranked Bulldogs’ Southeastern Conference road game at 14th-ranked Texas A&M this Saturday in College Station.
In addition, the league office announced that MSU’s Oct. 10 home contest against Troy will kick off at 3 p.m. CT live on the SEC Network.
Junior linebacker Richie Brown, the current SEC Defensive Player of the Week, and senior quarterback Dak Prescott spoke to members of the media. MSU (3-1, 1-1 SEC) plays its third road game in five contests at 6:30 p.m. CT Saturday against the Aggies, who are off to a 4-0 start.
Prescott has been spectacular throwing the football in 2015. Through four games, the National Player of the Year candidate is 95-of-142 for 1,069 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions. He’s thrown a school-record 191 straight passes without an interception, a streak that stretches 17 quarters. That streak is currently the longest in the nation and the sixth-longest in SEC history.
Prescott is one of only two FBS quarterbacks this season to throw for 1,000 yards with no interceptions.
