TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)–They turned out at the Tupelo High School gym to workout with Miss Mississippi Chelsea Rick. It was part of the ongoing “Tupelo Fit” initiative.
This evening, Rick , who won a preliminary award at the last Miss America pageant for fitness and nutrition, led participants through a routine mixing cardio, stretching, and some core work.
“I’m going to be doing a little bit of cardio, a little bit of sculpting and some toning techniques I used to help prepare me for Miss Mississippi and Miss America, of course we know about the infamous swimsuit competition that’s part of the Miss America competition, but it’s really more than that. It’s about confidence, feeling good and feeling healthy from the inside out.”
