VIDEO: Man In Custody After Running From Police

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Columbus Police Chief Oscar Lewis chases down a man who is now facing a drug charge.

The unidentified man was arrested around 8th Avenue North this afternoon.

A CPD spokesman says Lewis heard loud music coming from a car and pulled into the Watkins Washette parking lot to ask the driver to turn down the volume.

The driver took off running and collapsed about a block away.

He was taken to the hospital to be treated.

The unidentified man will be charged with possession of marijuana.

Other charges are possible.
