COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – There’s a special bond between a mother and her son. This Mother’s Day we talk to a few folks out celebrating their with their moms and they told us on this day, there’s nothing wrong with being a Mama’s Boy.
“I don’t know what I’d do without her. She takes care of me, puts three meals on the table. I don’t know how she does it.”
There’s something special about the bond between a mother and her son. That special relationship usually starts pretty early in a boy’s life and for many different reasons.
“She doesn’t get on to me and she loves me,” says Elliot Baker.
“She always finds a way to go above and beyond for me and my brothers and sisters,” says Cameron Oliver.
Some say moms don’t get enough credit for all that they do. But these lucky moms have sons who now know just how much love and support mom has given over the years.
“She always lift me up when I’m down and I can’t think of no other woman in this world that I’d rather have as my mom,” says Jonathan Gray.
“She just always stood there beside us. We can call her with our problems and issues and she always had a positive answer for us. So mom I love you and I just want to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day, may God bless you and continue to give you many more,” says Freddie Bardley.
The celebration of Mother’s Day began in the United States in the early 20th century.
