Video: Lowndes County School Leaders Take Bond Case to the Public

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County School Board is trying to drum up vote for its May 12th Bond Referendum by taking its plan directly to the people.

This afternoon they took their message to Faculty, Staff, and Parents at New Hope.

New Hope has the most to gain from the 44 million dollar bond issue, with some 26 million dollars being earmarked for campus improvements, including a new high school.

A centralized vocational facility is also included, as well as improvements on all campuses.

Voters head to the polls May 12th – The bond will need a 60 percent majority to pass..
