TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – This past week, the BancorpSouth Arena hosted the highest grossing country concert in two decades.
While more than 8,700 were at the Florida Georgia Line concert, one Nettleton woman who was in the crowd is also featured in one of their most popular music videos.
As thousands of Florida Georgia Line fans sang along to their chart topping hits, one local girl who was enjoying the show from her spot near the front of the stage had a personal connection to the band through several music videos.
“It was so fun, and they are really nice guys,” said Molly Anna Baulch, who is a Nettleton native, and who works with a Nashville based talent and modeling agency.
She is prominently featured in the band’s videos for “Cruise” the remix of “Cruise” featuring hip hop star Nelly and a concert video for Florida Georgia Line. Baulch says the first video shoot was laid back.
“I really didn’t know who they were, nobody really did. So we walked in the trailer and we had one with them, when we walked in I remember Tyler was sitting on the couch and I thought he was there for the shoot too, and I sat down and I said “hi, what’s your name, I’m Molly Anna, he’s like I’m Tyler, and it wasn’t until later that day we started filming I figured out he was in there with it,” Baulch said.
She spent days shooting the videos with Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelly, the duo who make up Florida Georgia Line.
“The first one in Nashville, they were a little more reserved and they were , I don’t know how to explain, they weren’t as outgoing and like in your face and the second one in California, they just come up and they are like ‘hey girls , you all ready to party?’ I don’t know, it was like, so fun,” she said.
Baulch is interested in acting and working in music videos gives her a good look at what goes on behind the scenes. She has also been recognized many times since the videos were released.
“People would come up and ask me they would say ‘you look so familiar , have I met you? and I would be like I don’t know, I don’t think so, then I would never say it but of course my mom or aunt or someone would be like ‘she’s in the Florida Georgia Line video and they’re like oh my gosh that’s it,” Baulch said.
For the future, Molly Anna has an upcoming audition for a country music video and she is getting valuable experience to pass on to her four year old daughter, Nolie, who has already been in one commercial.
