Video: Local Business Leaders Visit CAFB

COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. (WCBI) – Some area business leaders played tourist in their own hometown Wednesday.

The leadership group toured aircraft inventory at Columbus Air Force Base and were given a wing briefing.

It’s a “seeing is believing” way to understand the relationship between the base and the business community.

“Just learning so much about the Columbus Air Force Base and being able to see and basically seeing how great of a community it really is and what value it brings to Golden Triangle area.”

“I’d say the biggest thing the students take on the challenge of flying through the T-6 then off to bigger things after that. But they started somewhere and I think the citizens of Columbus can see that and hopefully the businesses thrive off of Columbus Air Force Base.”

The monthly leadership session brings together business leaders from Columbus, Lowndes County, West Point and Starkville.
