Video: Lee County Traffic Stop Yields Stash of Drugs and One Runner

LEE, Miss. (WCBI) — It began as a traffic stop, but ended with a suspect on the run, and police finding a stash of drugs.

Reports came in Tuesday regarding a reckless driver in Lee County.

Authorities caught up to the vehicle and conducted a routine traffic stop. The suspect pulled into a driveway, but immediately fled on foot.

Deputies along with the Tupelo Police Department K-9 unit attempted to track the suspect, but to no avail.

Authorities discovered a large ZipLock bag containing 9 ounces of high-grade marijuana, and about 1 ounce of cocaine in the suspect’s vehicle.
