Video: Lee County Schools Honor Retiring Educators
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Lee County Schools say goodbye to teachers and administrators who are retiring.
During the regular board meeting, Lee County Schools honored twenty employees who are retiring at the end of this school year.
The retiring employees have been with the district anywhere from 7 to 33 years. The longest serving teacher says she will miss a lot of the daily routine of teaching and getting to know her students.
“I like seeing them everyday, and a lot of them, most of them are always happy and they really keep you thinking with their questions, and the things you have to do to deal with them.”
In all, the retiring employees have nearly 400 years of experience among them.
