Video: Injured Lowndes County Deputy Moved to Tupelo Hospital

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County deputy is in good condition after he was injured in a crash Wednesday.

Jeff Edmondson was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center to have surgery on his hip.

Columbus police say Edmondson was responding to a call, with emergency lights and siren on, when a car pulled in front of him from West Lehmberg onto Lehmberg Road.

His cruiser then jumped the curb and hit the utility pole.

The driver of the other vehicle received non life-threatening injuries.
