SHANNON, Miss. (WCBI) – Hunter Douglas employees in Shannon are celebrating a top honor in that worldwide company. For the sixth time in ten years, the Northeast Mississippi Hunter Douglas plant wins the “President’s Safety Award.”

That honor is handed out annually to the top performing Hunter Douglas site in North America. More than 30 facilities are audited and measured for various safety criteria and the Northeast Mississippi location came out on top.

Officials say the award is a huge honor for the 130 team members.

“It tells me they’re very dedicated, they care about each other, they care about working safely and being part of something big.”

The Shannon location has gone nearly 1 thousand days without a workplace injury.
