Video: Houston Wins on Walk-Off Versus Oxford

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) — Scott Gann’s fun bunch appear to be at it again this year.

After squandering a 5-1 lead in the 7th to one of the best teams in the nation in Oxford, the Houston Hilltoppers used a walk-off winner in the bottom half to prevail over the Chargers 6-5.

In the walk-off, Houston loaded the bases as Justin Kimbrough drew an actual walk to bring home the game-winning run.

The Hilltoppers are now 11-2 on the season, boasting strong wins over East Webster, Helena High in Alabama and Tupelo.

With the loss, Oxford drops to 11-5. Three of Oxford’s five losses have come to teams outside of the Magnolia State.
