VIDEO: Houston Residents Enjoy Annual “Homecoming” Event

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) – Fun, fellowship, and lots of fried food brought the residents of Houston out Saturday evening for their annual Fourth of July celebration.

Houston Homecoming is held each year on the first Saturday in July.

Organizers say the event welcomes everyone who wants to attend.

“If we’re going to do anything, we need to think of everybody, and that’s the reason we try to do it. We want to be family-friendly to all our community, and thanks for being a part of Houston, Mississippi,” says organizer Chuck Carroll.

The evening was capped with a fireworks display near city hall.
