CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An equestrian tradition takes place Sunday evening in Clay County.

For 35 years, businessman Sammie Jefferson has held a horse show at his family’s land the third sunday in September.

It allows horse trainers to show off their best horses and their best routines.

It is not only a horse show, but it is a time for the Jefferson family and other families to gather and enjoy a lot of food, fun and fellowship.

Jefferson has been training horses for more than five decades, and says each horse is different.
