Video: Home Security Camera Rolling as Thieves Snatch ATV

PLANTERSVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -Investigators are searching for thieves who stole an expensive ATV from a south Lee County home, and it was all caught on camera.

Security cameras at this home near Plantersville caught everything Friday afternoon.

At 3:22 a white car pulls in front of this shop, one man gets out, crawls under a truck, disengaging the transmission, which causes the truck to roll away from the shop door.

Seconds later, you see one of the crooks opening the shop door from the inside, and riding out on the homeowner’s ATV.

Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson says the video is great quality and he hopes the footage helps authorities nab the three crooks.

“You’re not relying upon someone that didn’t see anything or something that might have happened or might not have happened or might have been a vehicle, or might not have been. We know exactly what these individuals looked like and we know exactly what they were driving, hopefully, getting this information out through social media like we did all weekend and help with the media here, someone will come forward, because I can tell you, you could be the next victim of these individuals.”

Sheriff Johnson says anyone with information on the suspects can call his office, or Crimestoppers. The victims were not home at the time of the theft, but they arrived a short time later.
