VIDEO: Holiday Travel And The Best Times To Fly

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- The holiday’s are quickly approaching and the closer it gets, the busier we see the airport getting.

Flights are being filled faster and ticket prices are just getting higher. So when is the best time to book a flight?

According to GTR Airport Director, Mike Hainsey, it’s as soon as you have a confirmed date.

“The best time is usually four to six weeks out unless you have to be there at a certain time. For the holiday travel the flights do book pretty quick so at least 2-13 months out. For non holiday travel 4-6 weeks out,” says Hainsey.

Hainsey says that knowing when and where you’re going as soon as possible is key.
