COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The gloomy weather didn’t keep high school students from marching for a good cause Sunday afternoon.
Several high school marching bands from across the region performed at Columbus High School, Sunday, for the first annual high school band showcase, put on by the Golden Triangle Boys and Girls Club.
The Sonic Boom of the South, from Jackson State University, closed out the event, which cost $15.
Proceeds went toward the Boys and Girls Club.
Organizers told WCBI they had sold around 800 tickets for the showcase, as of Sunday afternoon.
