Video: Higgins and LINK Enjoying National Spotlight

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) –The Golden Triangle Development LINK is basking in the glow of the national spotlight on economic development.

60 Minutes did a feature story on Joe Max Higgins successful run as the leader of the LINK.

On Thursday  he spoke to the West Point Rotary Club.

Higgins talked about economic development projects being considered in Clay County but he could not reveal specifics on each project.

The long time deal maker says he’s hearing from colleagues after the CBS story aired.

“I got a call this morning from a state representative in Mississippi and said hey, can you come down and sit with our team and give them some suggestions and tips and pointers on how we can follow suit. So, all in all the peer contact is either been categorized as fun, cutting up, or it’s been hey can you show us how you do some of this stuff.”

Higgins has been with the LINK since 2003.
