VIDEO: Haunted Theater Makes Preparations for Halloween

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)- Preparations are underway at one of the most haunted theaters in the nation.

Tupelo’s historic Lyric Theater held the second of two actor training workshops for participants in this year’s 12th annual Haunted Theater, on tap for the final three weekends in October.

Event director Steve Miller says this year’s theme is Mid-evil, and the young people will portray characters centered around castles, dungeons and torture chambers.

He says the Lyric Theater is the perfect venue for such an event.

Today’s workshop participants got a tour of the haunted theater.

Walls are being erected and there will be about 20 rooms where they will be trying to scare visitors.

Admission will be 15 dollars- it is the largest fundraiser of the year for Tupelo Community Theater.
