Video: Good News Lands At The Ackerman Choctaw County Airport

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Good news is flying over to Choctaw County and landing at the Ackerman Choctaw County Airport.

A $150,000 dollar airport grant has been approved.

The U.S. Department of Transportation through the Federal Aviation Administration will be dispensing the funds.

The county requested the grant for the airport’s 4,000 square foot hangar, and to cut a 240 foot taxiway.

The taxiway will provide access to and from the aircraft runway and hangar.

The county must use the grant for this purpose before more money can be approved.
