Video: Gifts Delivered to Aberdeen “Angels”

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) -Dozens of children in Aberdeen will have a merrier Christmas thanks to the city and area residents.

For weeks now, a tree in City Hall has been decorated with the names of children. City workers and Aberdeen residents were encouraged to adopt an angel from the tree.

Today, city employees got to play Santa for 61 children; distributing toys, clothes, even bicycles.

It’s a way for workers to reconnect with their town.

” There is a lot of citizens that are less fortunate, so we want to give back. And it’s a great way to involve the community, and we get the citizens involved, even the business owners. And we all come together and make this happen every year.”

This is the sixth year that the City has sponsored the Angel tree.
