Video: Funeral Arrangements Finalized for Former ECCC President

DECATUR, Miss. (WCBI) — Funeral arrangements for a long-time former president of East Central Community College have been finalized.

Visitation for Dr. Eddie Smith will be tomorrow at Clarke-Venable Baptist Church in Decatur from 9 – 11 a.m., with the funeral service to follow.

Flags are flying at half mast today and tomorrow in honor of Smith.

The 71-year-old died Monday after a lengthy illness.

He led ECCC from 1985 until 2000 as its sixth president.
