Video: Free Clinics Help Storm Victims Navigate Post-Tornado Legal Issues

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Local attorneys and legal experts are helping storm victims in Tupelo get back on their feet. A free legal clinic was held at the BancorpSouth Arena Wednesday. The Mississippi Center for Justice sponsored the event. The Clinic gave victims advice and information on insurance, SBA Loans, Contractor Fraud, and FEMA Appeals.

Paheadra Robinson, the Director of Consumer Protection said, “A lot of people don’t know how to access benefits or don’t know what benefits they’re entitled to and as legal issues pop up they really don’t know what to do with those in the wake of everything else they’re dealing with. So we just want to try to make that process a little easier for them.”

A free clinic was also held Wednesday in Louisville.
