Video: Foundation Established to Support Lee County Library

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A foundation is in place to expand services at the Lee County Library.

The Lee County Library Foundation will approve disbursement of funds from current endowment accounts.

Friends of the Lee County Library donated $5,000.00 to the foundation during a Tuesday news conference.

Foundation members say they are excited about helping continue and expand services many have enjoyed throughout the community.

“The library provides support for people of all ages, I can remember as a child participating in the summer reading program and having a library card and the great satisfaction of participating in that so children can continue to take advantage of programs like that that are offered on a year round basis here at the library and we are excited to be partnering with the CREATE Foundation.”

The CREATE Foundation will invest the endowment funds and help individuals establish endowments for the library.
