Columbus, MS (WCBI)– An expert on oil and gas makes a stop at Lion Hills Country Club in Columbus. Frank Howell, a retired petroleum engineer from Dallas, Texas was the guest speaker at today’s Exchange Club meeting. Howell explained how oil and gas are formed and accumulated, and why drilling is moving from conventional to shale drilling within the last few years. Along with these new trends, Howell mentioned that the popular “Fracking” method is here to stay.
“The U.S. Has 6 percent of world’s population but we utilize about 22 percent of daily production around the world so until we change the habits the demand is going to be there.”
Another alternative Howell mentioned was biofuel.
