Aberdeen, MS (WCBI)–Former Lee County pharmacist and school board member Jim Bain pled guilty today in federal court in Aberdeen to illegally distributing the pain killer hydrocodone. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a 500 thousand dollar fine when he is sentenced next year. Bain sold his North Gloster Street pharmacy in 2011 and surrendered his pharmacist’s license in February 2012 after an audit of his narcotics supplies prompted a probe by local, state and federal agents. Shortly thereafter, he resigned his position on the Lee County school board representing Guntown and Saltillo areas after just 15 months in the position.
