VIDEO: Florida Rehabilitation Clinic Evacuated to Macon
MACON, Miss. (WCBI)- Lake Forest Ranch in Macon is taking in Hurricane Irma victims from the Tampa Bay, Florida area.
They received a call from Neuro-International in Sarasota, an assisted living facility specializing in Brain Injuries and Rehabilitation early this morning.
There are 130 patients currently evacuating by bus.
They are expected to arrive at the camp Sunday Morning at 3 AM.
Nick Hall, the assistant camp director said they are working quickly to welcome all of the patients.
The Noxubee County Emergency Management Office is coordinating with local businesses and hospitals to help gather food, water and nurses to assist while the patients are here.
It is not known how long they will be displaced.
