Video: Fire Damages Home on Columbus’ Northside

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -A Wednesday night fire heavily damaged a home on Columbus’ Northside .

Firefighters responded to a blaze in the 1500 block of 22nd Street North just before 7:30 P.M. Wednesday.

When they arrived there was smoke coming out of the rear of the house.

Witnesses report that there were 7 people in the house, but they all managed to get out safely.

Most of the damage appeared to be in the back area of the home. Early indications are that the fire may have been electrical in nature.

There were no injuries reported. Columbus Fire Rescue is investigating the blaze.
