Video: Final Arrangements Complete for Local Civil Rights Activist

GOLDEN TRIANGLE, Miss. (WCBI)–Funeral arrangements have been finalized for a long-time Starkville activist. Visitation for Dorothy Bishop will be Friday from 1 to 6 PM at West Memorial Funeral Chapel in Starkville. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 11AM at Charity Full Gospel Church in Crawford. Burial will follow in the New Prairie Grove Church Cemetery.

Bishop passed away Tuesday after a long illness. A Civil Rights icon in Oktibbeha County, Bishop rallied for a number of causes over the years, including a Unity Monument, the repeal of the death penalty, and healthcare.
