Columbus, MS (WCBI)-If you don’t want the neighborhood Grinch to know what you unwrapped for Christmas, the city of Columbus is taking care of you. There will be plenty of boxes and wrapping paper to throw away the next few days. Waste Pro is teaming up with the city and police department to provide five recycle drop off sites. They’ll be open through the first of the year.
“We don’t want to advertise to the public what gifts you may receive . So when you get your big screen TV for Christmas; we want you to be able to have a place to do recycle the box and not just advertise to everyone what you have gotten. So, it helps with burglaries and also helps with recycling.”
Here are the drop off sites… The Columbus Municipal Complex, the Farmer’s Market, Joe Cook Elementary, Belk’s parking lot, and Waste Pro’s recycling drop site at 701 Sixth Street South.
